More Information For Using Your Helloskin HandsetUpdated 10 months ago
What Do The Buttons Do?
- The top button is used to adjust the intensity level. Press it to toggle through the settings: one bar indicates low intensity, and up to three bars indicate full power. You can view the current intensity level on the top left-hand side of the screen.
- To turn on the device, hold down the bottom button. Once it's on, a light press of the same button allows you to select your desired light mode for treatment. The selected mode will illuminate in the corresponding colour at the top of the handset. Additionally, the screen will display the name of the light setting along with a brief description of its function.
My Handset Won't Turn On?
To resolve this, first ensure that your handset is fully charged. Check the battery life indicator, which is located on the top right-hand side of the screen. For the initial use, make sure to charge your handset overnight. Use the provided USB charging cord to connect the handset directly to a wall socket, rather than charging it through a laptop or computer.
If, after verifying that the handset is fully charged and you have held down the power button for a sufficient duration, it still does not turn on, please contact us at support@helloskin.com.au to explore replacement options.
My Handset Turns Off During Treatment
If your handset turns off unexpectedly, first ensure it has sufficient battery charge before beginning treatment. Importantly, note that the handset is designed to automatically shut off after 6-10 minutes as a feature to signify the completion of a treatment session. If your device shuts off before this time and has adequate battery life, please contact our support for further assistance.
The Handset Is Not Vibrating During Treatment
For effective use, the device requires smooth friction. Before starting your treatment, ensure that you apply a layer of your favourite moisturiser or serum, ideally one from the helloskin range. This preparation allows the handset to glide smoothly over your face and neck, activating the vibration feature across all settings.
I Am Feeling A 'Zappy' Sensation During EMS Treatment
Feeling a 'zappy' sensation during EMS (Electrical Muscle Stimulation) treatment is normal and indicates that the technology is actively working. EMS technology stimulates your facial muscles using low-level electrical currents to enhance skin tone and firmness. If the sensation feels too intense, you can adjust the intensity using the top button to better suit your skin's sensitivity.
The Lights Are Not Coming On During Treatment
The handset is equipped with four settings: blue, red, purple, and EMS (no light). When you select your treatment mode, the corresponding light should activate—except for the EMS setting, which operates without a light. If one or more of the lights do not turn on, please ensure your handset is fully charged overnight and attempt usage again. If you are still experiencing this issue please contact us at support@helloskin.com.au to arrange for a replacement.
